UNStudio and Cox Architecture's design proposal for STH BNK by Beulah is set to redefine the Southbank area and Melbourne as a whole, creating an exciting new destination. The key element of this project is the innovative 'Green Spine,' a multi-level network of platforms, terraces, and verandas.

The Green Spine is achieved by splitting open the central mass, resulting in two distinct high-rise structures that reveal the fascinating layers of their core as they ascend, forming a light-filled canyon in between. This design intervention not only allows both towers to enjoy expansive city views but also enhances their integration with the surrounding environment. The carefully planned orientation of the Green Spine extends the public realm on the podium level, seamlessly connects green spaces throughout the towers, and provides a clear line of sight towards the CBD and the Botanical Garden from the tower's summits. The result is a masterful blend of architectural prowess and thoughtful urban planning, promising to be a remarkable addition to the city's skyline.
